Celldweller Music Inspiration
Music is one of the worlds biggest form of entertainment. It makes us dance, makes us feel good, strong, happy, or even motivated. I personally like all types of music, but my main inspiration comes from industrial music. Industrial music is not just one genre, it is a multiverse of combinations of rock, electronic, hip hop, and slow jams. Industrial music artist are very talented and create new ways of perfecting their craft, but the one artist I feel stands out from the rest is Klayton Scott of Celldweller.
In 2002 Klayton use to work for Criss Angel, and produced the hit single Mind Freak. Fast forward to 2003, Klayton decided to start his own music line and become his own boss. He started FIXT. Klayton's first album was released in 2003 of February simply named Celldweller. Celldweller is a one man band, all processed through the artist known as Klayton Scott. Klayton Scott produces his music using his vocals, his instrumental skills such as bass guitar, modulators and voice re-amplifiers. Klayton produces his music in chapters via social media like youtube, facebook, and other types of media until he releases the entire album. He is the owner of FIXT or www.fixtstore.com , and this is where he sells his brand name products such as music, clothing, posters etc. A lot of his music still inspires me today. Out of many great songs that he has written only two stand out that I feel personally represent me.
The first song that I feel leaves a big impact on my life is known as The Last First Born. Released within the very first Celldweller album, The Last First Born is about the first son that was created and the last one. This son was eventually going to become a man and go through the darkness that the world holds within. Shadows in the dark that beckon him, and voices in the distances that try to corrupt him. But knowing he was the last and first born he never allowed him self to be overtaken by the corruption of the world. He knew even in a lonely world that he was not lonely. He knew inspiration comes from many places and many people, no matter how much he was pushed passed his limit. He never gave up and became the very inspiration he wanted to be. This inspiration was uttered from the words of his father. My inspiration comes from my mother. I do have siblings, but I am the first born son and no matter what the world has tossed my way I always managed to keep going and keep fighting for what I believe is right. I am an inspiration to my family that look up to me.
The second song the really strengthens my will is Birthright. This was produced in 2006 from the album Voices in my head Vol 1. Birthright is about someone who has expected things in life to be a very tough and challenging journey. Heartbreak, pain, death, the struggles are all to real based upon how we all feel. Uproot your self and move on. It's time to take back what belongs to us, to never back down in what you believe in. To strive for greatness, no more feeling like your helpless, this is our birthright.The song is a major inspiration, and powerful one. I've failed in life at things, I have struggled to make things better, and I have my heart broken many times, but none of it will stop me, none of it will end me, because I let my past fade as I go for a better future.
